After many weeks
of hard work, paint fumes and rubble, the Albemarle
Youth House’s facelift is now complete.
Costing
55,000 pounds, the Albe has been transformed from
an out of date 60’s style club into a modern
and stylish centre.
It now has a sports/activities hall, with a newly raised
floor throughout, a completely redesigned kitchen
and coffee bar area, a computer suite with state of the
art ITC equipment and a social area with bright and
modern furniture.
Hopefully this will mean that young
people will be enjoying these facilities for a number
of years to come.
Although this has been a major re-development, further
modernisation works are due to be carried out during
this financial year including new disabled toilets
and a comfortable meeting room for young people.
The
Albemarle Youth Club is open on Wednesday
evening from 7pm – 9pm
The Revellers Youth Club is open on Tuesday evening
from 7pm – 9pm
Dreamstreet UK is open on Thursday evening from
7pm – 10pm
Urban Sports Project is open on Monday evening from
6pm – 8pm
The HHYAG meets
alternate Tuesdays at 6:30pm - 9pm
